Sarah & James // Eastwood Hall, Nottingham

Sarah and James tied the knot in a winter ceremony at Eastwood Hall in Nottingham.

For January, the weather was surprisingly kind, although I think we were all secretly hoping for a little snow! The weather held out and we managed to get some shots in the lovely grounds of Eastwood Hall too.

We couldn’t have asked for a better crowd especially when the sun went down and the DJ started. Honestly some of the best moves we’ve seen at a wedding. I love it when the party kicks in, that’s why we always stay a fair while after the first dance, as this atmosphere makes for some great photos.

Here’s what Sarah and James had to say:

Thank you soo much, we absolutely love them!

We just wanted to thank you again for the absolutely fantastic job you did on the day, you both put us at ease and we are really glad we chose you as our photographers

P.s James said thank you to Carl for dressing the lads- they don’t know what they would have looked like without him - Thank you again for everything, you and Carl have been ace.”

We had a blast, and it looks like everyone else did too, take a look at some of my favourites from the day.

Sarah & James // Elvaston Park

Back to one of my favourite parks for an engagement shoot with Sarah and James. I was back here in 2017 when I had an engagement shoot with Georgia and Kieran who had their wedding at the Farmhouse at Mackworth earlier this year.

It was great to spend some time with Sarah and James, to find out a little more about their day, which is happening in January. I’m secretly hoping it snows on their wedding day - imagine how amazing that’d be!

Here’s some of my favourites from their engagement shoot.

Hannah & Shaun // West Mill, Darley Abbey

Ahh the dream wedding venue! For anyone that’s been to a wedding here will know how beautiful it is, and it really is a photographers dream.

Hannah and Shaun got married here back in September, and it was an amazing day from start to finish. Luckily we managed to avoid the rain to get the important confetti shot too.

See some of my favourite images from the day below!

Jenni & Jack // Amalfi White, Melbourne

We could not have asked for more perfect weather for Jenni and Jacks wedding last month. They had their ceremony at Amalfi White in Melbourne, Derbyshire, and they held their reception in a tipi in Jenni's parents back garden in Griffydam, Leicestershire. When I say back garden, I really mean quite a sizeable field!

Every little detail had been thought of from start to finish, and I loved that. They had a hog roast, cocktail bar and a wedding cake made out of scones! It was a beautiful day, and we loved the little rustic touches. Here are a few favourite photos from the day.

Hannah & Shaun // Pre-shoot at Darley Park

Hannah and Shaun's pre-shoot was actually quite a  different one, because they actually won a competition I ran last year - They won their wedding photography package!

As they are getting married at The West Mill in Darley Abbey later on this year, they decided on Darley Park as a location, which just happens to be one of my favourites. This time of year is perfect for taking photos there, as there's a little pathway full of beautiful bright flowers, it's stunning. They also brought their children along, Betsy and George, who were so well behaved, and very cute.

Take a look at some of my favourites below, although it was quite hard to narrow the selection down!

Le-Anne & Brad // Pre-shoot at Lower Whitley Farm

Last weekend gave us some glorious sunshine, perfect weather for an engagement shoot at Le-Anne and Brads farm; a beautiful location surrounded by never-ending countryside.

We started off at their house and took some photos with their lovely dogs, then took a drive down to Croxden Abbey, a 12th century abbey where some of the remains are still present.

Ending on a drive to the pub straight after, because it'd be rude not too on such a beautiful day!

Georgia & Kieran // The Farmhouse at Mackworth

The farmhouse at Mackworth has been one of my favourite places to visit at the weekends for a while, so when I was asked to be the photographer for Georgia and Kieran's special day I jumped at the chance.

Georgia is very creative, taking on the tough challenge of making her own wedding cake - it looked incredible I may add! Even though they both told me they were awkward in front of the camera, I think they did an amazing job at appearing relaxed and not looking weird in any of the photos!

Take a look at a few images below from their day. They both really made the job so easy, and I was lucky to spend the day with such a lovely couple. Congratulations Georgia and Kieran!

"So over the moon with our wedding photos, thank you so much for all your hard work"
- Georgia & Kieran

Anna & Dan // Weston Hall, Staffordshire

I’ve known Anna for many years, and it was such a pleasure and privilege to photograph her wedding day. Anna and Dan’s wedding was super chilled and relaxed, they didn’t have a pre shoot,  they just wanted candid photos of their day, no group shots, no poses, just photos of everyone having a really good time, for them to look back on. They were blessed in a beautiful church in Somersal Herbert, and then they had a small reception at Weston Hall in Staffordshire.

The weather was brilliant, sunny but lovely and crisp for October, and as my last wedding of the year, it was a great wedding to end on. I’ve picked out some of my favourites from their day below

Georgia & Kieran // Pre Wedding Shoot at Elvaston Park

Last week I got to meet Georgia and Kieran who are getting married at The Farmhouse at Mackworth next year, which I’m pretty excited about as I love it there! We decided to take a walk round Elvaston Park, as the grounds are beautiful, luckily the weather held up, and I got to chat to them more about their plans for their big day. Here are a few of my favourite photos from the shoot.

Sam & Connor // Pre Wedding Shoot at Darley Park, Derby

It’s so amazing when you get to photograph a couple who are just absolute naturals in front of the camera, they make the job that much easier! I wanted to share a few of the images that I took of Sam and Connor, to celebrate their engagement, and as a bit of a pre shoot before their big day later this year.

I decided to take them to Darley Park as there are some lovely paths that are bursting with colourful flowers at this time of year, and with them both being fond of the outdoors, it seemed like the perfect spot.

They’ll be tying the knot in October this year, and I’m super excited to be there to photograph their day.
