FAQ

How do we book you?

Once you’ve decided you’d like me as your wedding photographer after an initial discussion, I will send through an invoice and a contract for you to read through and sign, at this point I also require a deposit to secure your date in the diary. Once that’s all done and dusted you’re all booked in, woo!

Do you take group, formal & posed photos?

Having your traditional group shots do still play an important role in your day, so previous to your wedding day, I ask for a list of group shots that you would like to have taken. That way in the mad rush of the day, nobody gets left out or forgotten, I like to keep this photo session to around 30 minutes so that you can get on and celebrate with your friends and family!

I also like to get some photos of just the bride and groom together away from the guests, this normally takes around 30 minutes, and can be lovely to get away for a brief moment to take in the day together. Again, these will be relaxed and informal.

Do you retouch, enhance or edit the images?

I only edit the photos to make sure they look spot on in terms of exposure, colour balance and contrast in my particular style. You won't receive images that are heavily edited to a point where you don't recognise yourself!

Who owns the copyright of the images?

The copyright of the images always remains with the photographer, but you can distribute, print and share them as you wish. The only thing you can't do is sell them on for commercial use.

What photography equipment do you use? Do you have backups?

I use two professional, Canon mirrorless cameras with a collection of lenses for different situations. I have several backup cameras and lenses too. I have lighting equipment too for when the dancing shoes come out. I back up all wedding photos.

Do we have to feed you on the day?

We would never turn down food if you were kind enough to provide it for us. However, it isn’t written in our contract that you must feed us. We take ourselves off for a break and food when you and your guests are eating - nobody wants a photo with a face full of food!

What style of photography do you offer?

My approach is unobtrusive and natural, I don't like to take too many formal shots, as I'd rather capture the real moments when you least expect a photo to be taken! These make some of the best photos in my opinion. However I also know how important it is to get those group shots of your family all together.

How many photographs will you provide us with?

This is a quite difficult to answer as it depends on numerous factors such as size of the wedding, the weather and so on. I take as many photos as I can throughout the day, and then choose the best images from those to edit. You can expect around 400+ images from a full day's coverage.

When do we receive our photos?

You can expect your images around 10-12 weeks after your wedding day. Within 2 weeks I will send a sneak peek which will contain a few images from the day.

Do you offer engagement shoots?

I certainly do! They are a great way to ease any nerves you have about being photographed. You can add an engagement photoshoot to your booking for an extra £250.

Do you work with a second photographer?

I do! As a standard, I always shoot with a second photographer, for me it's the best way to work, it adds a different perspective to the day, as well as being able to get some lovely shots of both of you getting ready on the day.

Are you insured?

Yes! As a professional photographer I am fully insured for both public and professional indemnity.
