August weddings at Thorpe Garden are always special, and Jenny and Sam were lucky enough to have a beautiful sunny day. The natural light throughout the venue created the perfect atmosphere for an outdoor-inspired wedding that felt effortless and relaxed.

From the start of the day, everything flowed naturally. There was no rush, no pressure, just a calm excitement as guests arrived and soaked up the sunshine. This is exactly the kind of environment where genuine moments happen - and where documentary-style wedding photography really shines.


A Ceremony Full of Emotion and Laughter

Jenny and Sam’s ceremony at Thorpe Garden was heartfelt, personal, and full of laughter. Emotional moments were balanced with smiles and quiet jokes, creating a ceremony that felt completely true to who they are as a couple.

Thorpe Garden’s ceremony space allows guests to feel close and connected, which made the vows feel even more intimate. Capturing these reactions - the exchanged glances, the laughter, and the emotion, was a real highlight of the day.


Drinks, Sunshine, and Relaxed Portraits

After the ceremony, guests enjoyed drinks outside in the sunshine, making the most of Thorpe Garden’s beautiful grounds. This part of the day was filled with hugs, conversations, and clinking glasses - the moments that often become some of the most meaningful photographs.

Later in the afternoon, we took a short walk with Jenny and Sam for a few natural portraits. Nothing posed or forced, just the two of them enjoying a quiet moment together in the soft August light.


Dancing the Night Away

As the day moved into evening, the celebrations continued with plenty of drinks, laughter, and dancing. The dance floor was full from the very first song, and the energy carried right through the night. These unfiltered, joyful moments are always some of our favourites to document.
